Enero en Finlandia / January in Finland

Si las mañanas en Finlandia ya son frías por naturaleza, las mañanas de enero son extremadamente frías. Al salir de casa para coger el bus aún está bastante oscuro. Durante el trayecto en bus se va haciendo más claro y al llegar al Instituto ya se puede ver bastante claro.
La nieve abunda en este mes, es imprescindible usar botas especiales para la nieve si no quieres acabar con los pies empapados y fríos. La nieve suele ser muy fina, es difícil de hacer muñecos de nieve y tirarse en trineo no es tan divertido como cuando la nieve es algo más densa.
Aún así es bastante divertido poder hacer guerras de bolas de nieve y bastante bonito ver el manto blanco que cubre todo allá donde mires.

If the mornings in Finland are already cold by nature, the January mornings are extremely cold. When leaving home to catch the bus it is still quite dark. During the journey by bus it becomes clearer and when you arrive at the Institute you can see quite clearly.
Snow abounds this month, it is essential to use special snow boots if you do not want to end up with soggy and cold feet. The snow is usually very thin, it is difficult to make snowmen and sledding is not as fun as when the snow is somewhat more dense.
Still it is quite fun to be able to make snowball wars and pretty nice to see the white blanket that covers everything wherever you look.

Por fin ver tierra / Finally see land

Después de tanto tiempo viendo solamente nieve o hielo mirases donde mirases cuando ves tierra sientes una felicidad impresionante. O al menos así fue en mi caso. Era un día normal y corriente, por la mañana, a eso de las 7:15 de la mañana estaba saliendo de casa para dirigirme a la parada de autobús, a esperar al que me llevaría al instituto, cuando al abrir la puerta de casa ví pequeñas porciones de tierra donde la nieve se había derretido. Fui muy feliz en ese momento, al igual que en el resto del día al ver que en todas partes se podía ver algo de tierra bajo todo ese manto blanco de nieve. -------------------------------------- After so much time watching only snow or ice you look where you look when you see land you feel an awesome happiness. El tiempo en Finlandia / The weather in Finland

Aunque mucha gente dice que en Finlandia es poco común ver el sol muy a menudo, en parte algo incierto. Es verdad que no se ve tantas veces como en otras partes del mundo como España, Francia, Italia... Pero se ve con algo de frecuencia. Es cierto que cuando te acostumbras a pasar cierto tiempo sin ver el sol puede ser algo raro e incluso molesto estar unos cuantos días con tanta luz y tan cálida. Hesburger

Hesburguer es un restaurante de comida rápida similar al McDonald's y al Burguer King. Se caracteriza por no encontrarse en todos los países. Mi familia estuvo durante dos días aquí en Finlandia, les acompañé a comer a Hesburger pues en España no hay. De echo el Hesburger más cercano desde mi casa allí en España está en Alemania, es de locos.
